When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, password (securely hashed), and institution. When you use the platform, we collect the listings you post (including photos), messages you send through in-app chat, and basic usage data needed to operate the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate your account, display your listings and public profile (name, institution, rating) to other users, enable in-app messaging, send you service-related emails (welcome messages, listing reminders, account notifications), and maintain platform safety (reviewing reports, moderating abuse).
3. What We Don't Do
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your phone number or payment details with other users unless you choose to share them yourself (e.g. in a chat).
4. Service Providers
We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including Supabase (database and authentication) and Resend (email delivery). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound to handle it securely.
5. Your Rights
Under Nigeria's Data Protection Act (NDPR), you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, and request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to any legal retention requirements. 6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal or safety purposes (e.g. records of a reported account).
